Our company’s history goes back to 1981, when the founder of the company, György Károlyi for the first time fell in love with an antique chandelier at an auction. His admiration for old, original antique pieces became his hobby and soon after his business: at auctions and fairs we discovered more and more traditional lamps which we then restored and sold to our customers of exquisite taste.
The hobby became an enterprise, within five years we came up with our own handmade traditional lamps, that were set into a collections. Today you can choose from an assortment of more than 700 pieces which were all handmade, based on our own design. They surely will enlighten your home!
It is the production process and the utilized materials which make the traditional lamps special: this duality marks also the Patinas products. The decades old knowledge, the traditional craftmanship and the diligently done work meet the modern era requirements in our manufacture in Hungary where the most beautiful traditional lamps are born. Just as we do not want to replace the traditional craftmanship by factory machines, we do not want to compromise on the material we use either: we use exclusively solid brass and industrial silver for the welding!
Due to our precise production and utilized material we can say that our traditional lamps will represent value for generations to come.
